irony…

This is just a brief blog post blurb, but does anyone else see the irony in the photo below?

I saw this yesterday just minutes from my home and actually pulled over, snapped a photo, and laughed out loud. I mean, let me be the first to say that smiling is the very LAST thing that I think to do when gas prices are as such.

Look at the goofball smiley face on the sign! Somebody put that thing out of it’s misery! Clearly, it has no idea that just below it stands the absurd cost of a gallon of gas!

I always get a chuckle from that sign too, but for a different reason. It’s the mis-use of the apostrophe that makes me “Smile’s”. Ha.

I saw that on the way to the baby shower today. On the way there it was $4.09 and on the way back it was like $3.98 or something. Crazy how much it goes up and down throughout the day! It’d be nice if it continues to go down that much in a matter of a couple hours!!

Believe it or not, we here in Oregon are for ONCE paying less for a gallon of gas than you are. Today it was 3.69! We have always been one of the higher priced places so, although it’s still unbelievably high, I smiled!!! Sorry guys. :(
