Just for fun last week, I took Alana on our back deck while it was snowing. Obviously, she was too young to appreciate the snow last year when she was just a tiny tot. But I was hoping she’d notice and enjoy it this time around.
I was SO disappointed last week when it snowed several days in a row and somehow managed NOT to accumulate. The way I see it, if it’s going to be below freezing, it really needs to just snow. Otherwise the super cold weather is not much fun at all. But alas, we were frozen solid all week with no fluffy white build-up.
So, I will have to be patient for my much-anticipated vision of the front yard covered in a blanket of white snow for Alana to enjoy!
For now, we’ll just enjoy the flurries! 🙂
Snow flurry head! And yes, her hair is growing, but mainly down by her neck. I suppose it’s something akin to a mullet. Yikes. This must be remedied. And fast.
Then on Tuesday, Kellie and I spent the day at her house, and later in the day, we had a mini session in her front yard! It was snowing again, but still, no accumulation. Bleh.
Thanks so much to Kellie for these photos! I took the liberty of editing them and creating storyboards. Fun!
And here are a few that I took that COLD afternoon:
And then a few more I took on Wednesday because I couldn’t resist the afternoon sunlight! We haven’t had too much of it lately, and being a Florida girl, it’s still an adjustment to live through a Chattanooga winter with consistent days of overcast skies!
Thank you again to my dear sister Amber, Alana’s “Aunt Pixie” for this amazing, perfect dress! 🙂 We love and miss you, and will see you SOON!
Okay, that’s all for now! Stay tuned for a post later today about my girls day out yesterday!
I hope that all of my amazing blog readers are having a blessed, fantastic week. We love you!
