A few days ago, Nick, Amber, Alana and I were enjoying coffee and conversation at the new (wonderful) Barnes and Noble at Hamilton Place Mall. As we meandered into the adorable children’s section, it occurred to me that I’d never thought to take photos in there. It’s a busy place on the weekends, but I knew it wasn’t packed on weekdays and that would be a perfectly fun, creative, and interesting place to take photos.
And so, we all met up yesterday and had fun! Kellie and I took photos of Alana and her Aunt Pixie reading books, and I’m so happy with the results! I think I am going to start taking Alana there for the kids reading time on Wednesday mornings.

Aunt Pixie is so much fun…and she’s an amazing Aunt to Alana. So loving! I couldn’t ask for a better sister or friend for myself, or aunt for my little one!
I cannot explain how much I love capturing moments that are entirely unscripted…like this one. I wasn’t even near them when this happened, and I had to run over to catch the photo! I LOVE it!
Then we all continued the party at our house! We had American Idol and taco night…and I think it may need to be a tradition. I LOVE this group of six…SO much fun.
We went a little nuts with self-portraits because I was complaining about how often we get together yet how seldom we take pictures. These are some of my favorite people on the face of the planet and I want as many photo memories as possible!!!

I should have been a part of the “Chicago” cast! My absolute favorite picture of the day is our “Snuggle” picture! LOVE IT! I want it blown up to a 60 by 80! Oh, and btw, look at the first smiling picture of our self-portrait time, Kellie and I look like twins!
Yes so definitely some “sister” looking action there with Kellie and Amber. And so now these pictures make me miss my sisters and want another baby – oi! Oh well the suffering is worth the beautiful photography!
