green means fun!

This is a delinquent blog posting, but I figure better late then never 🙂

Last week for Saint Patricks Day, it was our turn to go to Kellie’s house. We hopped in the car in the morning and spent a glorious St. Paddy’s day with Kellie, cookies, and cameras. Oh ya.

These two photos are of Kellie teaching Alana the funny “pondering face”!

Step one:

Step two:

The amazing coffee drink that awaits me most of the time when I get to Jason and Kellie’s house 🙂 Jason could make bank selling these puppies. Mmmm.

We had made sugar cookies for Valentines Day last month, but we gave so many away to neighbors that we didn’t have many to eat at home. So, I asked Kellie if she’d be up for a second round of sugar cookies, this time, decorated accordingly for Saint Patrick’s Day. She was game, and I dug through my kitchen drawers to find my Shamrock cookie cutters…this was the first time I’ve used them!

Here are my photos of our take-advantage-of-the-baby-napping-cookie-making-time!

We had FUN making them, and I cannot describe how soft and amazing they are – perfection! Here they are, in all of their monochromatic glory!

Photographing Kellie photographing Alana. 🙂

LOVE these two little teeth! She’s a late bloomer, and at 16 months, they are still the only two she has!

Um, ya…see these little fingers reaching for my camera? They got icing on my brand new 16-35 mm lens! Not good to contaminate a lens on it’s maiden voyage – this was the very first time I’d used it!

Outside, spring is arriving…

Alana looking all cute in green.

A newfound ability: running!

She’s rockin’ her mullet 🙂 I refuse to cut the bottom part since it’s trying so hard to grow out…but this, for sure, is the awkward in-between stage. Not just peach fuzz anymore, but definitely not super girly yet either!

Believe me, her first hair cut will be thoroughly documented and worthy of it’s own blog post. Soon enough, but not yet!

Thank you to Kellie for the following photos of me and Alana!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week! Stay tuned for a blog post tomorrow of – drumroll, please – my very first official photoshoot! I can’t wait to post it!!!
