I’m so excited about this blog post!
Ever since Rich and I heard about Darin Wright at Elea Blake, we’ve been happily referring brides to her for their wedding day makeup. We knew, from speaking to others in the industry and from feedback from our brides, that the staff at Elea Blake does an absolutely incredible job. But I’d wanted to experience it for myself. I was excited about being able to tell our clients exactly what makes Darin and her team so special — from firsthand experience!
So, while I was getting my makeup done, Rich and Alana played together at Coolidge Park. Rich took some amazing photos of our little sweet pea…
Here she is running with her arms out behind her…what Rich calls her “flamingo run!”
Rich is such an incredible photographer, and for so many reasons. Not only does he know how to get a beautiful, properly exposed photo in any light situation, but he’s always thinking about how he can take an ordinary, everyday situation and apply a new perspective to make it visually interesting. He’s my hero. I have so much to learn from him.
I can’t believe she’s a toddler – and she’s looking more and more like one every day!
And when I was done, we got to have a mini session together at the park!
Darin did an amazing job on my makeup, as I expected! She uses all natural mineral makeup and she completely customizes it to match and compliment any given skin tone. She’s ultra collaborative and loves feedback from her clients. She’s fun and spunky, and well, she’s totally original!
It was a super windy evening, but the light was gorgeous! Who cares that my hair looks ridiculous – it was about the makeup!
I cannot tell you how many times a day I kiss these perfect little cheeks…
