Last night Kellie and I had the privilege to do a session for the Gamba girls: four sisters who also happen to be best friends.
I can personally relate to how wonderful it is to have a sister, and there is a special place in my heart for that particular bond. It’s wonderful to know that my sister will always love me, always be there for me, and always have the dirt on me![]()
These girls are no strangers to the bond of sisterhood. They are all close in age, and have grown together from little girls to women. Kellie and I were so excited for the challenge to capture this unique camaraderie with our cameras.
It was an unbelievably gorgeous evening, and we started our session at Coolidge Park. But because everyone else in the city was also there, we grabbed just a couple of shots before moving on to Renaissance Park nearby!
I love the relaxed comfortability that these girls have with each other. It’s so fun and so beautiful! There is nothing better than lovely light and natural, raw emotion!

We moved under the bridge for a couple of artistic shots! I wanted to incorporate the negative space with the random ivy growth!

I loved this sweet moment, and the resulting image:

The light was gorgeous, and Kellie and I had fun utilizing it! These girls all manage to be simultaneously beautiful and adorable! It’s a little upsetting

I love how they linked arms – SO cute.

Seriously? Can they be any cuter? With just a little direction, they were giving us some great material to work with! This image below is one of my favorites!

Another favorite…

This next image was totally the girls’ idea. They found this super unique clearing with all kinds of tangled thicket and I thought it would make a nice moody, contemplative photo. I really like how it turned out!

Fun with reflections!

Hands down, my favorite image from our time together! I think the girls should start a band and use this for their album cover – what do you think? I’m gonna be working on band names.

I ADORE the collage below. There is something about handing a girl a pair of sunglasses that just gives her the freedom to break out and be a supermodel. Kellie and I are continuing our tradition to conclude our sessions with our clients wearing sunglasses, and these girls really brought it! Way fierce.

The two musketeers:

Gamba girls, I hope you enjoy the photos and I would be honored if I was able to capture even a fraction of the love you feel for each other. You girls are amazing, and Kellie and I are so thankful for the opportunity to spend a couple of hours with you!
Also, Kellie will have a blog up before too long, so be sure to check there for her images!!!
