It’s a bit ridiculous how tired I am – and yet I insist on blogging these photos that I took of Alana this morning.
This morning, I got Alana dressed for a fun girls day out with Kellie. But before Kellie showed up at our house, I took Alana outside to play. She was excited to go “side! side!” (which means outside in Alana-ese) and once we stepped out of the front door, she started doing the funniest thing! She put her hands into her shorts’ pockets, looked at me, smiled, and attempted to say “pocket!” Only by her action did I understand the word she was trying to say…it didn’t sound exactly like one might expect the word “pocket” to sound 🙂
I have no idea who taught her about pockets, or how to put her hands into them, but she suddenly decided that it was the coolest thing to do. Ever.
So, I grabbed my camera, told her to stay where she was, and snapped away! I was cracking up the while time, but I think I got a few keepers.
It was so much fun watching her obsess over her hands being in her pockets for about fifteen minutes straight! Whenever she wasn’t picking up dirt, leaves, rocks, and clumps of grass, she had her hands in her pockets.
Share in my amusement, if you will:
