Between Alana’s second birthday in November Christmas in December we have so many fun new things in the house! Since we all already know that I am a nerd I just embrace it, and yes, I have taken photos of her with some of her little two year old toys. I really don’t want to forget all of these little moments when the toys are long gone!
Yesterday morning Alana and I just played around the house together. I’ve had so many awful headaches lately that it felt good to stay home for a morning and relax, watch cartoons, play with new toys, and take photos. This first photo was taken while Alana watched Caillou, the only cartoon other than Super Why and the Super Readers that keeps her attention. She is so cute when she’s intently watching it because honestly, she really never stops…never sits still…never relaxes. She’s busy, active, energetic, and very passionate.
So, I crept up behind her and snapped a photo of her to remember what she looks like standing still![]()

These next few photos are of the cutest little shopping cart that my mom gave to Alana for her birthday. We found it (and the fake produce) at Learning Express, and it’s a sturdy little metal cart with fabulous construction! Alana LOVES it and pushes it around, collecting things from every room. All kinds of things find their way into the shopping cart.![]()

Contemplative…

And on the move again…

These amazing little felt cupcakes were a gift from my dear friends Heidi and Briana for Alana’s birthday. They are from Pottery Barn Kids and are too cute for words!

Alana wanted to hold one for me to take a photo, and I just love it!

This Little People Farm was a gift at Alana’s first birthday from her Aunt Susan and Uncle Randy…but she’s been playing with it all this time!

Then, over Christmas, her Uncle Jeff and Aunt Jackie gave her this, a Little People Nativity Set. Soooo cute!

My sweet pea…I love her eyes so much.

Alana also got a Princess Shoes and Tiara Set from Uncle Randy and Aunt Susan and the kids…she is already putting them to good use! Check out the concentration!

Fun!!!

Alana also got a pair of cow hide and mink slippers (from Jackson Hole, Wyoming!) from Nick’s mom and dad, Johnny and Lisa, along with (a while back) an adorable buffalo stuffed animal (from Rapid City, South Dakota, where they live).
Here are the slippers:

And the buffalo! So cute!

And here are some of our favorite new books, all of which are wonderful for different reasons![]()

Alana actually still has several more toys that I would like to photograph and blog, including some adorable ones from my in laws, but this was all we got to yesterday. I think I’ll do a new toys second installment soon! Thank you to everyone for your generosity and for helping to make Alana’s life a little cheerier! We think of you every time we play with your gifts!
