welcoming march…with more snow!

Hello, March.

And hello, snow.

When Rich woke me up this morning and said, “It’s snowing again, babe.” I didn’t think it would be more than a few flurries, maybe a light dusting.

After all, this is the Chattanooga Valley, and while Lookout Mountain and Signal Mountain get accumulation multiple times each year, their elevation sit more than 1,000 feet above us, and well, we are just not supposed to get this much snow in the valley in one winter!

And so, with snow days in November, December, January, and February, I guess March would have felt left out.

Because it’s been snowing like crazy all morning! It’s been a whopping 2 weeks since we last had snow and here it is again!

So, heck, we will appreciate that, once again, our yard is completely covered in gorgeous white nothingness and yes, we will go out to PLAY!!!

Since Rich wasn’t around this morning, Alana and I took full advantage, just us girls!

First thing she did out of the front door was stop to put her hands in her pockets. She said she didn’t need mittens this morning because she had pockets:)I’m thinking this little wool skirt kept her nice and warm…thanks for the Baby Gap gift card for Alana at Christmas, mom…this outfit is totally from you:)

I really have absurd amounts of fun following Alana around, talking to her, laughing with her, snapping photos, and capturing her expressions. I love my job…the mommy one and the photography one.

It’s snowing pretty hard in the photo below, but it had let up a bit at this point, if you can believe it. The flakes that were coming down before Alana and I went outside were unbelievably large. I was on the phone with my dad trying to explain how large the snowflakes were and how heavily it was actually snowing. I told him it was like a torrential downpour of rain, only with snow:)I was kind of freaking out about it. Uh, ya, I’m from the south.

This California-Texas-Florida-Tennessee girl hasn’t lived through a winter with this much snow EVER. Geez.

Maybe my fav from the session…the colors just pop on the snowy backdrop and I adore her eyes.

She’s VERY excited here because a cat came running into our yard…and then saw Alana and went running away:)

Then Rich came home for lunch and we grabbed a few shots…

And for those of you Chattanoogans who are totally OVER the snow…don’t hate me for loving it, okay? Let a girl be giddy! I’ve had more hot and humid days in my lifetime than I care to think about and this winter has been a VERY welcome change for me:)

Happy Tuesday!

Awesome! We got snow twice HERE!!! In TEXAS!!! The 2nd time didn’t stick but it was still pretty to look at. Oh, and FYI: fix the top strap on your left boot. it’s flipped. :P :)

The fifth one down of her walking….probably toping the charts for favorite of all time. And I think my favorite facial is the last one. Gorg. Love these!!!
