So I’ve had this “Mini Polka Dot Shirt Project” ready to post for several weeks and I’m finally sitting down to do it! Things have been so crazy busy with tax season (and all the tasks that come along with it) that I haven’t had a chance to post this explosion of cute! And let me just say, this is WAY more fun than bookkeeping, taxes, and government forms! And there’s more fun to come, since my next post will be of my sister’s baby shower from this past weekend!
It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost two years since I posted my Chambray Shirt Project, which eventually inspired a chambray shirt project for both Alana (seen here) and Sierra (seen here). It was a fun little project that snowballed into similar projects for the girls.
Then, a little over a year ago, I had some fun doing a Polka Dot Shirt Project for myself but only recently did I realize that Alana had almost the exact same polka dot shirt in her closet and it would make the perfect “Mini Polka Dot Shirt Project!” Who knows…maybe I’ll feel ambitious and follow suit by doing one of these for Sierra sometime in the next few months 🙂
This sweet six year old is about to graduate from kindergarten in a few weeks and I cannot believe how quickly the school year has flown by. I don’t know what I’ll be feeling while I sit there and watch her graduate in her little cap and gown but I assume there will be some strong emotions. I’m excited about our first official summer vacation but also a little nervous about keeping Alana busy and learning and entertained after having all of the weekly structure that school brought this year.
So I’m going to stop typing and just post this blog because the longer I think and write, the more emotional I feel. Ack!
