I’m ashamed to say that it is the END of summer and I am FINALLY getting around to posting the photos from Alana’s kindergarten graduation!
But better late than never, and even better that my trusty blog has a nifty little feature that lets me post a blog on a past date, so that this will actually show up chronologically, as if I was actually on top of things early this summer 🙂
We are so thankful that Alana’s first year of school was fantastic with a wonderful teacher, great school, and really sweet classmates. She learned a ton and she is thriving in a school environment. We are thankful to be sending her back to BBS for first grade, and she starts next week!
So since I am so far behind on my blogging and have a few more posts to publish tonight, I’ll save too much commentary and just make brief statements throughout my post!
The graduation program started with the kids in their own attire and an adorable program. And Alana was actually the very first little speaking line for the program. I didn’t realize her little line was at the very beginning, and since I was the one with the camera at the time, I almost missed it. But I did manage to grab a quick shot of her at the microphone:
Then Rich took over with the camera and documented the rest of the ceremony!
And when the kids had finished their program, they went to the back of the auditorium and got into their caps and gowns! I love this shot that Rich got of Alana all ready to graduate 🙂
I loved that the school announces each graduate by name and then each child got to say what they wanted to be when they grow up. It was SO cute! Alana said “When I grow up I want to be an artist.” 🙂
Shaking the headmasters hand and getting her “diploma.”
Alana with her awesome kindergarten teacher, Miss Gross!
And with granmama and granpapa!
