For the sixth year in a row, I requested only a mini photo shoot (and brunch, always brunch!) for Mother’s Day, and Rich took time out of his crazy schedule to deliver for me again! This time of year we have weddings every weekend with engagement sessions scattered throughout the week, so I deeply appreciate his willingness to do this for me! It’s kind of like asking your massage therapist spouse to give you a massage when they come home from doing just that all day long. So, I keep my requests to just this annual Mother’s Day Session so as not to be too needy 🙂
We’ve been working hard to stay on top of everything and I’m proud to say that after shooting a wedding last weekend and having a photo shoot every day this week, ALL of our clients have their images already! I love that we are able to provide our wedding clients with their full wedding gallery when they return from their honeymoon! Hard work results in very thankful and excited clients around here 🙂
We’ve also been very busy launching a new logo and a new website for Rich Smith Photography and it was my job to blog a handful of recent weddings for the new site! It’s a work in progress but we are really proud of all the hard work we’ve done! The thing about owning a business is that there is always room for improvement and we want to do the best job possible for our incredible clients!
But back to the personal side of things. I’m not super into gifts for holidays like Mothers Day, but photos and making memories? Those things excite me.
I am so thankful.
The only thing better than having these photos would be having a great quality album of my favorites from each years’ shoot. That’s on my “accomplish someday” list.
I love the girls growth progression from year to year and the variety of fun places we’ve shot around the city. This was the first year that we shot in the art district (which I have always adored) and I wanted to post a few favorites here! I’ll link to all 5 previous mothers’ day sessions at the bottom of the post, just for fun! I think the photos incorporating the polka dot wall for my 2015 session will always be some of my favorites! Hard to beat that wall art!
Happy Mothers Day to my mom, my mother in law, and to all the other mamas out there who are raising, fostering, adopting, etc! You are doing the most important work!
