Last summer we went all together to the sunflower field in Ooltewah and took some family photos, but this year, Rich and Sierra opted out because of the summer heat so Alana and I went on our own.
It was a gray, drizzly morning which helped with the intense heat, but it also meant that the vibrant sun and colors from last year were much more subdued. I really love the few photos that we grabbed while we were there, but as it started raining harder we ended up only spending about 15 minutes there.
But even a few minutes in this incredible field is better than nothing, and I really love the beauty here. I wish these beauties bloomed for longer than two weeks each year, but I suppose that’s what makes them so unique and amazing.
