Sierra’s Little White Shirt Project!

I can’t believe it’s been 1.5 years since the girls and I have done a photo booth style project! The time has FLOWN! And I’m really surprised that I’ve never done a project with this little white button down from GapKids, since it makes the perfect backdrop for mixing and matching all kinds of outfits!

It’s a hand-me-down from Alana’s closet to Sierra’s, so we’ve had it for quite a while and it’s cute, comfortable, and stylish! It’s one of those pieces that you can dress up or down or anywhere in between. She looks super cute pairing it with skirts and dresses but it also made an adorable athleisure outfit with her Nike leggings, tennis shoes, and a baseball cap!

It was so quick and easy to throw outfits together with this white shirt that I probably overlooked many other outfit options and possibilities. But we had fun even if it wasn’t a comprehensive project!

With the school year starting this coming week, I knew I had to get this project done soon or it wouldn’t happen for a while! It had been rattling around in my brain for a couple of months, so I’m glad we finally executed the idea! In other news, it’s hard to believe we are starting our FOURTH year of homeschooling! What a ride it’s been and we are looking forward to another year of learning together.

We are coming up on fall and that just makes me GIDDY. It’s my favorite time of year, and living in Tennessee means that we get the whole experience: chilly morning air, gorgeous fall foliage, sweaters and boots, pumpkin patches and pumpkin spice lattes, you name it. I can’t wait. Since most of Sierra’s fall and winter clothes are still packed up for the summer time, we didn’t have access to most of her cooler weather pieces for this project…so we mainly used her summer wardrobe and utilized just a few pieces of outerwear that were still hanging in her closet for a couple of fall/winter looks.

I hope you enjoy browsing our latest project, and maybe even come away with some ideas for how to shop your kids closets (or maybe your own?) to create some new looks with pieces you already own! Shopping our closets is a fun (and money-saving) activity and I highly recommend it! Links to our other style projects are at the bottom of the post!
